What are my different options for getting paid?

Nadya -

If you live in the United States, you have two options:

  • PayPal. To add a PayPal address to your profile, just go to your account settings.
  • Dwolla. If you don't have a PayPal address on file, your payment will be sent via Dwolla to the email address that you used to register for Zivity.
    • Dwolla is an alternative to PayPal. You can transfer money from Dwolla to your bank account, just like with PayPal.
    • For folks with no bank account, Dwolla provides several options for withdrawing your money.

If you live anywhere else in the world, your options are:

  • PayPal. To add a PayPal address to your profile, just go to your account settings.
  • Paper checks. We strongly discourage this option, because people forget to update their address on file, or checks get lost in the mail. However, if you really want to receive paper checks, just add your address in your account settings. It's worth noting that this is the slowest method of getting paid - with any other option, you get paid on the 15th, whereas checks only get mailed out on the 15th. Please note that there is also a $1.99 check processing fee.
    • If you leave your mailing address blank and fail to provide a PayPal address, we will attempt to send a PayPal payment to the email address that you signed up with. However, we really prefer that you fill in your PayPal address if that's how you want to get paid.

We no longer offer paper checks to artists living in the United States as of summer 2014 (for more info, you can read our original announcement about it). Artists grandfathered into the Direct Deposit option, which we no longer offer, will continue receiving direct deposit.

You can always access your Earnings Summary to keep track of how much you've made in the past, and how much you'll be paid in the future.
